Industrial Policy Director
Rob is the Industrial Policy Director at Cement Europe since 2021. He graduated in 1991 as a chemical engineer from the Technical University Twente in the Netherlands. As a chemical engineer, he started my career in public services as responsible for environmental permitting with focus on emissions to the air at the Provincie Limburg in the Netherlands. In 1996, he started to work with the cement industry as Process Engineer in the Maastricht plant of ENCI. In 2004, Rob was appointed the CO2 Coordinator at Heidelberg Cement in Heidelberg, Germany. In 2007, his position on climate change was combined with policy issues as Director EU Public Affairs of HeidelbergCement in Heidelberg, Germany. Early 2021, he started to work at Cement Europe.
